Mentorship
In accordance with the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT) educational standards, the Orthopaedic Division’s Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Program (AIM) curriculum includes 150 hours of clinical mentorship.
Mentorship develops advanced level of clinical reasoning and communication skills enabling effective assessment and patient management and integration of evidence-informed practice. Clinical reasoning is at the core of clinical practice and an essential component of the mentoring process.
Mentors with the Orthopaedic Division have completed an internationally recognized advanced training program and are registered Fellows with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists. Our mentors have access to current educational resources and continued professional development.
